Cozy Puzzle game

Harvest Grid

Play Harvest Grid, a cozy falling-block farm puzzle where completing rows harvests crops, but waiting too long lets them rot.

Harvest Grid gameplay scene

Harvest Grid is a falling crop puzzle played on a tall farm board. Crop pieces drop from the top like an arcade block game, but every planted crop keeps aging while you play. Complete a full harvest row to score based on crop value, maturity, and freshness. A young crop is worth less, a mature fresh crop is worth more, and crops left too long rot before the line is made.

Game features

  • Falling crop pieces built for quick browser sessions.
  • Tetris-style row clears with farm scoring.
  • Crops age over time and rot if ignored too long.
  • Freshness and maturity decide harvest score.
  • Next-piece preview, ghost drop preview, soft drop, hard drop, and rising speed.

How to play

  • Move and rotate the falling crop piece before it lands.
  • Fill every tile in a horizontal row to harvest that row.
  • Mature fresh crops score best when the row clears.
  • Old crops rot over time and clear for zero points.
  • The run ends when new crops can no longer enter the board.

Controls

  • Keyboard: A/D or left/right arrows move the crop piece.
  • Keyboard: W or up arrow rotates the crop piece.
  • Keyboard: S or down arrow soft drops.
  • Keyboard: Space hard drops, R restarts.

Tips

  • Do not always hard drop immediately. Crops need a little time to mature.
  • Strawberries rot quickly, so clear them earlier than pumpkins.
  • Multi-row clears add a bonus, but rotten crops in the row are worth nothing.
  • Use the ghost preview to place awkward shapes cleanly.
  • As speed rises, keep the top of the board open for larger pieces.

FAQ

Is Harvest Grid like Tetris?

Yes. This version uses falling crop pieces and horizontal row clears, but the farm twist is that crops age and score differently depending on freshness and maturity.

Do crops sell or go into storage?

No. The simplified version has no selling, storage, upgrades, or end-day button. Score is awarded immediately when a row is harvested.

What happens when crops rot?

Rotten crops still occupy the board and can be cleared, but they add zero harvest points.
